Don’t worry, this isn’t one of those articles where we’re trying to sell you anti-aging creams or cool sneakers that will restore the bounce in your step. We’ll be exploring self-care tips, youthful environments and the kinds of books you should be reading create the illusion of turning back the hands of time.

  • Books:

Eckhart Tolle – A New Earth (Awakening Your Life’s Purpose). Remember the goals you wanted to achieve? Although time won’t turn back in the literal sense, the mindset of the current situation can change. This book explores changing the ego-based state of the mind so that you may have a new way at looking at your life.

  • Youthful environments:

You don’t have to leave the club at 4am to feel like you’re back in your youthful times, although we aren’t against it either. All it takes is spending time where you’ll leave feeling rejuvenated and youthful. Visit botanical gardens, take scenic drives inclusive of picnics, or attend events such as tastings, picnics, live performances or high teas.

  • Workout without overworking:

Stronger muscles make you less susceptible to injuries. Your legs still have to carry you for years to come so getting life back into them should always be a priority. Combining short periods of squats and lunges will keep your quads in check. The great thing is, you don’t need a gym membership to do these. Another way of revitalising your body is by sleeping earlier.

So, bust out those golden-oldie tracks, order your go-to meal and engulf yourself in these ways of turning back the clock.
